Payment methods
Settings › Payment methods lists the ways your customers can pay at the POS. Every shop starts with Cash, Mada, Visa, MasterCard and Amex. Add the others you accept, such as STC Pay, bank transfer or Tabby, and switch off the ones you do not.
Whatever you set here is used everywhere: the payment buttons at the till, sales, cash-session counts and the payment-method split on the dashboard all follow this list.
This page is part of the POS add-on.
The list
The list shows each method's Name (English and Arabic, with its image), Type, Order and Status: Active or Off, plus In use for methods already used by a sale.

Types
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Cash | Gives change and is counted in the cash drawer. There is exactly one, built in. |
| Card (terminal) | Never gives change: a card payment can never be more than the amount due. |
| Other (transfer, wallet …) | Never gives change. Use it for bank transfers, wallets and buy-now-pay-later services. |
Example: a café that accepts STC Pay adds "STC Pay" / "إس تي سي باي" with type Other, uploads the logo, and sets Order on the POS to 15 so it appears after the card methods. If a customer pays 30 SAR with STC Pay for a 28 SAR bill, the till refuses it, because only cash gives change.
Edit, switch off or delete
Click a method to edit it.
- Cash is built in. Its names and type cannot change, it cannot be switched off and it cannot be deleted. You can still change its image and order.
- A method used by a sale keeps its names and cannot be deleted, so old receipts and reports stay correct. Switch Show on the POS off to hide it instead.
- A method never used can be renamed or deleted freely.
Receiving credit payments
When a sale was made on credit, the money received later is recorded against the sale with one of these payment methods, from the Sales list. Credit payments received in cash go into the open cash session of the person who received them, so the drawer count includes them. See Sales list.
Who can change payment methods
Viewing, adding, editing and deleting payment methods each need their own permission. See Users and permissions.
